Who we are
We are a not-for-profit group led by a board of progressive, passionate farmers and ag industry reps who volunteer their time, expertise and knowledge to advance Australian agriculture. We are passionate about farming systems which connect soil, human, economic and environmental health. We are dedicated to helping farmers achieve better results at harvest time while encouraging broader adoption of sustainable, nutrient-rich and profitable food production systems.
"We are a little bit different because we are a group of farmers who are happy to ask the tough questions and and not only ask the questions but more importantly go looking for the answers, which is where the real excitement happens." MICHAEL GOODEN, RIVERINA NSW

What we do
"A world where our soil nourishes people, planet and profit through evolving systems that empower farmers to realise the full potential of agriculture."
"Farmers helping farmers to create a collaborative space for learning and growth, driving positive change in agriculture through shared knowledge and experience."
We are all working towards a common goal – profitable farms that grow nutritious food and prosper for future generations. Whether you are at the very beginning of changing your farming system, or have been doing it for a long time, Farmers helping Farmers welcomes you all.
We bring together farmers with experience in farming large-scale systems, not only looking at the how, but also the why:
- Applying ‘context’ to farming system changes – trust your own knowledge and understanding of your land, tap into the power of observation and ask questions.
- What does soil health mean to you and how can you improve yours?
- Build more resilient large-scale broadacre cropping systems – you can’t be green if you’re in the red.
- Regenerative techniques, what’s working, what isn’t, why is ‘regenerative’ so polarising and how to not get caught up in labels, rules and regulations. Your farm, your decision, your way.
- Integrate livestock into broadacre cropping systems and integrate broadacre cropping into livestock systems – our network has the experience and we’re here to share.
- Nutrition and biology, setting up on-farm biofert systems and understanding what your soils and plants need.
- Traditional, conventional, industrial farming systems – we challenge the conventions and the norms by asking questions
- Cover cropping, multi-species covers, living roots all year round, and other tools to make your system more resilient.
- Composting at scale – taking a waste product and turning it into something useful.
- Strip ‘n’ disc systems (stripper fronts and discs), Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF), no-till and zero-till – no matter where you are in your journey, we are here to help.

Organica Bio Ag
Organica Bio Ag operates on a simple principle: you are what your food eats.
An Australian, family‑owned agricultural biotechnology manufacturer, its specialty formulations come from five decades of hands‑on experience.
Customers continue to use the products because they work. The technically advanced range includes biologically based fertilisers, microbial soil enhancers and non‑toxic crop protection. However, Organica Bio Ag does much more than supply inputs.
The team works side‑by‑side with growers to design system‑based solutions. The focus is on real outcomes for conventional, sustainable or organic systems.
Founder Robert Jack’s expertise in plant health and disease identification is second-to-none. Today, he leads Organica Bio Ag’s in‑house microbiology laboratory, working closely with growers to diagnose complex issues – avoiding costly misidentification and incorrect treatments.
A respected world leader, Organica Bio Ag products support high‑performance greenhouse systems in the Netherlands, Japan and Spain, as well as professional turf and golf course environments. The products are safe for workers who operate in close contact with crops, with no withholding periods and no harmful residues.
“There are a lot of organic and biologicals manufacturers out there and each might have just one good product, but I can categorically say that Organica Bio Ag is the only place with a suite of products that are seriously good.”

Downunder Ag
Cover crops are plants or a diverse mixture of plants that are grown to help suppress weeds, manage soil erosion, soil fertility, soil quality, water, disease, wildlife and biodiversity.
Well-planned annual cover crop mixes can provide highly nutritious available forage when perennial grass pastures are either unproductive, poor in quality, or in need of rest. This delivers tremendous benefits to animal health and production.
Downunder Ag offer tailored seasonal seed mixes to maximise livestock production and soil health. We also offer custom blends to meet your specifications and goals based on our own experience and successes.
